As reported on FOX 2: “St. Louis takes the top spot when it comes to two common sexually transmitted diseases. A CDC report shows St. Louis leads the nation in infection rates for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Nearly 7,500 cases of the two diseases were reported last year. City health officials met to figure out what to do about the growing problem. Nationally, the number of diagnosed cases of Chlamydia topped 1 million last year…the highest ever. ”
