FixRedEyes.com is a free online red eye removal tool that lets you quickly fix red eyes without installing any software. All you need is a web browser with an internet connection.  This takes only 30 seconds of your time at most.

1.       Upload pic from your computer.

2.       Drag two shadowboxes over each eye and select the tolerance.

3.       Click “fix it”.

4.       Download edited photo.

If you’re not satisfied with your result, you can easily undo and change the tolerance settings.  Keep in mind you can only upload pictures no larger than 2MB.

If I have to review this web site, I give it a perfect 10!  I don’t know why the site was created, other than to resolve an issue some developer had at their company and didn’t want to spend hundreds on Photoshop or similar software to make it work.  I can’t figure out the business model behind it, either.  There are no ads whatsoever and no watermarks on the downloaded file.  Not even a logo on the site!  Also, you do not have to submit any registration info or e-mail address, so this is the perfect solution that costs you nothing.

I shared this web site with the newsroom here at WUSA 9, and so far I haven’t received any complaints.  I know removing red eye is one of the hardest things to do for someone without going through many steps with online tutorials or asking someone with experience in Photoshop.
