Yesterday’s 3-mile run was such a rush!  Today’s run just plain sucked.  I’m very surprised at the time it took to run this, especially since I walked the 4th mile.  Why I think this run was hard:

  • Did not stretch yesterday
  • Great “mom” food yesterday–and lots of it!  Sweets usually weigh me down.
  • Not getting enough sleep the night before
  • The Ted Drewes we ate yesterday after the 5-miler
  • We were running late, so there was pressure to finish early because we had to drive back to DC after the run (stress related?)

I was disappointed, but at least I got through it and finished.  I’m hoping tomorrow’s 3-miler back home will be better.  I also need to eat better, but with all the family gatherings, not having anything packed, and spending 30+ hours on the road on this vacation, it was hard to eat healthy.

Thoughts:

I’m glad today’s run is over with. Every run can’t be fantastic.

What I’ll remember most:
I’ll miss running in Forest Park.  I’m glad I had 3 runs here as a memory!
