The days are getting shorter, so the longer I stay at work, the darker it’s gonna get when I run.  Especially when I’m running more than 5 miles.  Today I didn’t get on the trail until almost 7pm, so the last half of the run was pretty much in the dark.  During the last mile, a couple cyclists had their headlights on, and it gave the impression of “seeing the light at the end of the tunnel” literally at times.  Pretty cool.

My run was much better today than yesterday. I was able to keep a steady pace and had no intentions of stopping. I feel my legs have recovered from the half-marathon and are the strongest since training.

Thoughts:

I need to get out of work on time, or I’ll be running in the dark! Alternative: running before work, but I’m a night owl, so that’s not gonna happen

What I’ll remember most:
Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
